In order to meet with ‘New Normal’ standards and meet social distancing guidelines there are operational changes in place
Phase 1 Reopening:
1. Limited numbers on site (120) - Free Members will need to pre-purchase a day pass as only limited numbers will be allowed per site per day. Full members only should select 'Network Member day pass' it is free but must be must be accompanied by a valid Full Member QR code as well as the ticket. Please only book a Network Member day pass if you are going to come as by booking them and not arriving you will have blocked someone else from coming. If this happens repeatedly we will have to return to a system of 'purchase and refund when redeemed' for Network Members.
2. If you arrive having not pre-purchased or booked one of the limited day passes you will not be able to ride - no exceptions even if you’ve made a 500 mile round trip having first made sure your vision is OK by visiting a local beauty spot.
3. Unaccompanied minors (under 14) will not be admitted even if they have purchased a ticket - the parks are not to be seen by parents as an alternative to home schooling. A responsible adult must be in attendance with a valid day pass.
4. . If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have had contact with anyone that has symptoms DO NOT ATTEND
6. If you anyone in your household has symptoms you should self isolate for 14 days and definitely not attend our parks.
7. There will be absolutely no parking on site at Wind hill beyond the main carpark and over flow that do not require you to enter the main safari park entrance or pass toll booths. DO NOT turn up and expect to park in our staff parking area no matter who you are. If you do so you will be asked to leave and not return. There is no reason to approach or pass the Safari Park main entrance barrier
8. The huts will remain closed to the public although staff will be there and no food or drink will be for sale on site, Toilets will be on site and hand sanitisers in place.
9. Only use designated push ups. We have specific push ups as we know you like to session sections but trampling roughshod wherever and whenever you wish is not an option. Help us keep the non trail elements of the woods thriving as they have done while we have been closed.
10. Maintain social distancing if queuing on session push ups, fire roads or anywhere else. Social distancing guidance signs around the site will help remind you.
11. Only travel with members of the same household and maintain 2m distancing from all others
12. Loitering at any single point will be discouraged - if you climb a start ramp you will be expected to drop in as soon as possible not hang around chatting through your run, latest upgrade or anything else.
13. Social distancing must be maintained: fist bumps, crowding round screens to check the ‘gram’ etc will not be acceptable behaviour . The only point where you need to get even close to other people from outside your household will be at check in, at the start ramp or on the push ups and we will have 2m markers in place to insure that you are aware how close is too close.
14. Riders to ride full runs or if seasoning trail only from designated session points.
15. Where in the past we have had a fairly relaxed attitude to people failing to observe terms and conditions this can no longer be the case. Failure to act in a reasonable manner and observe operational changes will result in day pass being revoked and you being asked to leave.
16. Ride within yourselves, a constant stream of emergency vehicle to sites is likely to see us closed down again….besides do you really want to be in an A&E department where contagion risks higher and the staff are already massively under-resourced.
17. Ride Within yourselves - trails will be running fast, you will no doubt be a little rusty and there are changes to trails.
18. No, really…… Ride within yourselves.
19. Our staff are Rescue Emergency Care trained but we do not guarantee they will be able to attend to you - please take a level of personal responsibility in terms of your health and well being…see points 17,18,19
To help people understand the ‘new normal’ we will have additional staff on the ground.
Park Marshall’s are there to make sure things run smoothly and in case anyone is in any doubt of what is or isn’t welcome/acceptable behaviour. Please help us create safe and smooth running parks. If you are asked by a member of the team to do (or not do) something please follow their guidance. Those that feel that this is too much of an infringement on their personal freedoms are kindly requested not to visit.
Sorry if people feel this is all ‘over the top’ but the reality is that other than social distancing and a limit on numbers it’s all stuff that you should be doing anyway.
Refund policy: No Refunds. Please check your booking is correct before confirming it.
